Teacher Preparation Program (TPP)

Carol Kitzinger Teaching Scholarship

The Carol Kitzinger Teaching Scholarship was established in the memory of an exceptional teacher. During the Great Depression, she lived in a farmhouse without electricity or running water. As our country entered World War II, she graduated as the valedictorian of her high school class. Attending college on scholarship, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate and taught for many years in junior high and high schools in the Denver area. The scholarship is awarded to teaching candidates who show exceptional potential as teachers and who have unmet financial need.
